I want to share a little secret with you. This is an evening sun that makes oranges look like burn from within. As the real source of light stand behind of the picture frame, as a result – we have here 4 fire foxes.
It was a big challenge for me – to paint in serious time trouble – evening sunlight is too short!

Well, if you are familiar with engines, you can easily recognize this part. For others, who is not – this is a crankshaft, heart of scooter engine. But here, taken out, it is just like a fish out of water: cold, powerless and useless. Massive metal tools (hummer and wrench) were placed here just to stress these feelings. I have mechanical experience, and, trust me - it is impossible to fix an engine with hummer, but definitely possible to destroy…

My cousin told me: “It recalls me Venice”.
Of course it is - it is the original Venetian masque.
But actually I wanted to create a medieval carnival atmosphere, not necessarily Venetian one: books with poems (Shakespeare?), flute, light gray lights of early evening. Cheery and mysterious night is coming to us…
P.S. and...IFFF you wanted to ask about “ Eyes Wide Shut” by Stanley Kubrick – I have NOT being thinking about this movie!

Stunning!
I was amazed by application, beauty and excellence! Pictures are mirroring different segments of human life and, even more then it, they create oun world, full of colors.
Thank you!
Anton
Hah! We did it!
Look at photos below – it’s the second space (too small to call it “hall”) – all new and white and shiny!

Not Avaliable
While hosting people here, we understood that the exposition is not spaciously enough. Some pieces, which we considered as good ones, got completely “lost”. For giving them attention that they deserve we should to build additional space. Also we are continuing painting and new pictures are drying in unconventional places. We have a small room that connected to studio and its location is all right, but it was used as a storage for years. Could we convert it into exhibition hall in some days (between visits)? It’s a big question. OMG..
But it seems to me, there are not other options – if we don’t want to cut off an amount of pictures (it’s abnormal, btw. Usually artist shows up to 20 pieces at once) – then we must do!
I enjoyed the exhibition very much - it was like a breath of fresh air.
Highly recommended !
Good luck!
Rita

Exhibition is running well.
We love to see people coming and we learn a lot from our guests.Their opinion is quite important.
Charlie sais: " I loved the light shining inside of microcosmoses and caressing brush-touches – with no anger, stress or meaning; soft and fresh colors, harmony of light, color and form. This exhibition is real gourmet!”

The little yellow ducks were posing for few pictures; you could find them below in earlier posts. The story says, that these rubber ducks only look tiny; they are real fighters and brave-heart buddies. They crack nuts with strength of their sights only. I doubt you can repeat after them!

Today is Rosh Ha-Shana - it's Jewish New Year, usually comes at September. Apples and honey are symbols of Rosh Ha-Shana.

Here is tomato-theme comes again. You can call it "tomato-serial". Pictures were updated all together, but they were painted during few days. One big tomato-family was kindly posing.
Why it feels like I'm talking about portraits of Sicilian family?

These tomatos are like scattering beads - aren't them?
I love smoothness and roundness of tomatos, love that they are so pure and rustic, uncomplicated and casual. Simple red, natural sweetness + I love the smell of tomato plant leaves!
Exhibition is keeping us pretty busy. Even it opened for public only few times a week - for two of us it's full-time job. We are still uploading, changing, framing, advertising, inviting, checking additional channels to promote, as well we are holding, managing, entertaining, treating, and keeping the place clean. Once we are committed to run an exhibition ourselves - the success of this business (oh yea, it's definitely business!) depends of our abilities, skills and motivation. It’s hard, but no complains – I love it and love to see people coming!

This is a demo - tour of our exhibition. Sorry for poor quality of video, it was taken with amateur camera and even not yet adapted. We hope to update it soon with better quality.
Exhibition is open today.
It's open for public three times a week: at Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
People who want to arrive at weekend or other days/hours are welcome to contact us.
If we'r around - we always happy to open for visitors.

We begun with sorting and planning – how we want it look.
We are going to show not in the gallery but directly in our studio. I also hope to open a workshop during the exhibition time. We have zero experience as a galleriests and it’s new and exciting experiment.
Running the exhibition by ourselves has tons of difficulties (especially at fact that we are new in it) but the main trouble is publicity. It’s clear for us that we have neither public relations nor necessary skills to run an advertising campaign to compare to professional galleriests.
But there are advantages (my place = my rules)
When running at exhibition in our place we have all the freedom to compose pictures at their best appearance, to doubt, and to change the exposition numerous times. We have flexible schedule and could keep it longer. Also we can show in additional days and hours. We plan continue painting also during the exhibiton, so, I guess we would recompose and enlarge it on the way. The biggest advantage is the direct contact with visitors.
When oil painting is done it should to dry for a while.
Here is our "drying-machine".
TO TURN BAD INTO GOOD
Where would I begin?
Once upon a time … actually, in 2009, we found ourselves stuck at home for lo-o-o-ong few months for very unwelcome reasons. Even the nearest future was not clear. We used to manage unsettled and full of movement life for years and these new circumstances were very fatiguing.
Fortunately we had a “duck soup“ solution to stay solid - painting . Soon we found ourselves creating one small painting a day. We weren’t new in this business – both of us are into arts from childhood, and we always kept painting, but never did it so intensive! An idea of daily painting fitted us like a glove.
I have to admit that daily painting is great experience! Daily practice gives impressive results – progress is visible and touchable. You are growing up with every canvas and it is amazing feeling. We successes to turn our disadvantage into advantage - prolonged workshop, and it was great!
Such intensive production of still-lifes leaded to gathering of numerous pictures (most of them of similar format and media). They look well all together and in fact they wanted to be shown.
Here is The Good News: we are going to open an exhibition!

Today we did a morning workshop here, in our studio. It is not huge, but spaciously enough to contain 5-6 students inside. Also we have a fabulous day light during all the day – from two (opposite) windows in the studio. One side (East) is fully lighted at the morning, and afternoon it becomes softer, and at another side (West) has steady light during all the day, but getting strongly illuminated for a few hours afternoon – that makes dramatic shadows and fabulous reflections everywhere.
It was a very small group today and it allowed to everyone to concentrate on own progress in work. At my side – I was glad to be able to give personal attention to everybody, to support and to help them – like it was a private lesson. Very peaceful day!
