Search This BlogABOUT USWhy Still Life
Still life is one of genres that often underestimated as it is considered educational. Let us disagree with this. Still life is a mirror of the moment, it often deals with everyday objects that seem us casual today, but in a while they would make an interest for spectator as "antique" stuff. Fashion, technologies, habits of people change faster then you can imagine. Once these still objects get reflected in the painting - they receive a fixed place in lines of our memories. Thanks to its ability to be composed in particular way, still life is an excellent tool to express the mood or idea of the author. Exactly alike one's mind it could be plain or deep, joyful or pissed of, to express curiosity/ balance or disbalance/ Zen or stress, etc.
TO CALL THEM NAMESWhen named - painting is getting personal. Reviving itself, he will wake you up to emotions, associations and thoughts. Giving creative names to the paintings we often turn the spectator to another direction. Named still life is getting alive, playful and actively interact with spectator.

All 3 invitations are very tempting. I love number (3) more because a composition and soft pastel technical effect of scenic colors.
ReplyDeleteI like attractive composition here (number 1), number 2 is well-done, more stylish and also very good. I think I still would choose number one.

Invitation to tea (2) is very stylish. To others are also well-done, but they are more sophisticated in composition. It's invitation to English tea.
