Nostalgia

Media: Oil colors on wooden board
© VANESSA STASHINSKI 1990 (aprx)
Not Available.

A very-very old one. Was painted in early 90th for a friend who was moving to another country. Then it was feeling that we'd never meet again, but, at fact, world gotta small in last 20 years, so, we met. We are keeping in touch and keeping hope to meet and have time together.

Photo is quite awful, sorry abt it. These black butterflies currently "living" in States. One day I'll arrive there myself and will get a better picture of it ;-)

Carol Marine and her paintings

Finally we received our purchase of Carol Marine's books from States!
I adore her brushwork!
Now (I) have a pleasure of leafing through a book.

And here is a tip from Carol, useful for everyone who paints with oil:
" I found a very cool solution for taking breaks from painting! They're called "paint savers" and they're little suction cup thingies that keep your paint wet for weeks. And instead of explaining them away I'll just show you this picture and give you a link to the website: www.paintsavers.org. Very cool!"
